Well said Mr. Proulx.

Why did the chicken cross the road they ask me?

I sit, and think, and then say, he crossed the road because he had realised it was ok to do so. Should he want to come back, and granted he does not succomb to a 235 50 17R Uniroyal, he may do that as well without having to explain why. It just is.

What a vast and interesting discussion.... no?

Well done Shaun. I think you experienced something akin to a form of direct action against relations that have been quite oppressive in your energetic life. You spelled it out quite well when you wrote, "While certain people might have preferred me quiet, and worried and burdened, it is from this new place on the emotional scale that I will live... Read More". It is not easy to struggle in such relations, and perhaps letting your emotional existence known to those who needed awareness was precisely the right kind of emancipation for you.

Shaun, sometimes revenge is the pivot point - sometimes it can be anger - different emotions are different stops along the emotional scale. If you are feeling helpless, then to be able to shout and get mad could be your point of relief and is all still good in the hood. Of course, soon enough anger won't be a point of relief and will be upstream. When it isn't though... it can be your point of relief. ♥

Expressing your anger appropriately is not only natural but it's healthy. Far better to let it out than internalize. It also helps others realize what your boundaries are and that they must repsect them.

Hey Shaun what do you have to loose?
I personally don't care what others think of me. I speak my mind.

I too have a group of people that make me feel that way. I chose not to give them any attention.

Then, I found you and GGT and all the possibilities...

I gave no value to what others think. Being oppressive and overbearing only happens when we agree with the thoughts that others have of us. Sometimes you just need to turn around and draw a boundary. Sounds like you did that. Call it anger or what have you. You drew a line and announced it,you let it be known that it's there and to be respected.

I don't call that anger.
