She Told JT She Was In DUBAI! (Thanks to Susan F. for spotting this and thinking I would get a kick. Did!)

Hey everyone, and happy Friday!  Heading into a Toronto weekend where the weather will be more like mid-April than early-March, there’s lots to love:

Me. Want. Cherry.

I’m having a delicious week, so thought in honour of it I would post this pic I took at a bakery I was at last weekend.  (God, I just want to stick my face right in there, don’t you?  And the desserts!)

My final column for Xtra! has turned out to be a doozy, and I’m appreciating the amazing feedback over on Xtra.ca and on Facebook and Twitter.  The column is my insights after Read the rest of this entry »

Ooops! Law Of Attraction + Shortage Consciousness
Feb 16th, 2010 by Shaun Proulx

I got a bunch of emails after my regular Feel GOOD Friday! post last week pointing out I had omitted my normal weekly Law Of Attraction mention.

Mon erreur!

So, if I look back at last week to identify what aspect of the Law Of Attraction was dominant, I have to say it was Read the rest of this entry »

Law Of Attraction: Always On
Feb 2nd, 2010 by Shaun Proulx

I had an interesting chat with an associate of mine after a meeting yesterday morning.  As everyone in attendance dispersed, he pulled me aside and began to describe how difficult it would be to accomplish what we are going to accomplish.  This bad thing was going to happen … that obstacle would be in the way … these people were the road blocks … he was likely going to have to jump through hoops …

The Law of Attraction is always on.  You cannot turn it off. If you want to go about life saying “I have to work so hard for everything I get” – guess what?  You have to work so hard for everything you get!  In the case of my associate, I simply suggested to him to tell the story the way he wants it to be:  “What about: ‘It’s going to be really great when we figure this all out.’  Or, ‘I can’t wait to see what we come up with.’  Or, ‘It’s exciting to me to think of what we’ve got planned here.’”Same story, just told differently.

Every story we tell about any subject in our lives will garner different end results, and more importantly, garner different experiences in getting to those end results.  It’s amazing the stories we tell each other, and more so, that we tell ourselves, and it’s amazing how often we take the simplest things (’cause really, in my associate’s case, as far as I’m concerned, this is a done deal) and make big hairy deals out of them.  And it’s the sum total of all the big hairy deals we have going on needlessly in our heads all day every day that actually starts to create ruts in our lives.

Because the Law of Attraction is always on.

Holy moly what a week!  I feel so much appreciation for the amazing people, events and circumstances that lit up these last few days of January for me, including:

Scott Thompson

Visiting With Kids In The Hall's Scott Thompson Was A Great Highlight This Week. The Whacked-Out Convo We Had On-Air Even More So!

Why hello, Friday, what took you so long? Actually, another week has sped by, and what a great one it was – I hope yours was too! Here’s my love list as we head towards a really oddly balmy weekend (it IS January in Toronto, right?)

  • Beau Kaizer who plays Brock on Y&R emailed me last night. He’s heard about my Y&R addiction and wants to come on the show and chat. Woop! AND that’s not all – Victoria ‘Drucilla’ Rowell is coming aboard when she visits Toronto for Casey House’s Snowball. Her character is probably the most missed in daytime. Okay, this week sure went by faster than last week, the first workweek of 2010, which seemed endless after a two week Christmas vacation.  Hope yours was groovy – here’s what I’m loving as we head to a well deserved weekend!

  • Spring in the city?  Following last weekend’s cold snap, glorious Toronto warms up to plus temps for a few days! Bless!

Why Give My Story To Them When I Have My Own Platforms?

Wow, what a weekend and what a show this will be today.

Undoubtedly you heard over the last couple of days that I, too, have slept with Tiger Woods.  Life has been a nightmare of paparazzi and seven-figure offers to tell all, but I’ve decided that since I have my own show, I should use it, Oprah be damned.  So today on my show, on today’s  4:20 specifically, I will spill all, just like Tiger did that one session we had together. With Wigmore + Lisa Nichols. The Energy In The Room Was Especially Amazing.

Here we are and not a moment too soon!  Here’s what I’m lovin’ as we head into the weekend!

- Fifteen years of fab magazine!  Congrats to my local scene magazine that everyone picks up whether they’ll admit it or not.  (Even you out-of-towners.) Can’t wait for the celebration bash at fly nightclub tonight.

Piss, Vinegar, And The Law Of Attraction.

Today’s post will seem abstract to many.  My intention is that it speaks to those who are ready to hear it.

“Adventure and variety from a known place of security and well-being is delicious.  Adventure and variety from inferiority or from a place of unworthiness, or from a place of fear – is torturous.  The answer is not peace.  The answer is connection – to yourself.” - Abraham

Isn’t that interesting?  That quote comes from my studies of the Law of Attraction and the understanding and applying of it was a big, big, big moment of realization last night.

Most of my adventurous life runs smoothly and is joyous.  Life for me is delicious, because the adventure is lived from security and well-being.

A couple of aspects, not so much.  Read the rest of this entry »
