Today on the show in honour of Matthew Shepard’s mother Judy joining us in less than an hour, we are asking you where it is you see homophobia the most.  In case you don’t know, Matthew was brutally murdered in Laramie, Wyoming just over ten years ago at age 21, a homophobic act that is still as appalling to me today as it was the first time I heard about it. Hey, some fun success for some of the less self-aggrandizing Haiti fundraisers over the weekend here in Toronto: local Craig Dominic and Ryan G Hinds‘ To Haiti With Love raised a whopping $4000.00 last night.  Tomorrow night, Heather Mackenzie from Big Momma’s Boy on Parliament Street is organizing Give Hope To Haiti 7 to 10. While in L.A. for five nights I stayed at Le Parc Suites on West Knoll Drive between Melrose and Santa Monica in West Hollywood.  I want to give Le Parc Suites and Director of Sales Barry Podob a special thank you and shout out, because the property was amazing, from check-in to shoot day and throughout my stay as a guest.  They put me in a wonderful suite (larger than many apartments), and on shooting day with Buck cleared their wonderful roof-top pool so that we could have the privacy and quiet that we needed.  And the welcome gift on Day One when I got in from a long afternoon of meetings was an extra nice touch   When you are in Los Angeles and want to stay close to All Things, I highly recommend Le Parc Suites.

Happy Monday indeed!

First off, the sweet relief of it all that Victor Newman is NOT leaving Genoa City!  Palpable!  News out this morning that Eric Braeden has signed a new contract – apparently (according to my sources) the entire haggling was merely over having a fluffer on set.

Of course it only gets better as we move to nighttime TV.  Slowly we’re getting over the idea that Ashley Simpson-Wentz has been fired from Melrose Place (she was so good at quirky-dangerous that we forgave the Saturday Night Live lip synching lie!), because in the end, who cares anyway?  Heather Locklear’s back next month!

Over in the land of radio, look who’s coming on mah show this week: Tegan & Sara, d’bi young (both today), GGT blogger David Ivey (only one of the best writers I’ve read in ages) and goddess Molly Johnson on Wednesday!  Aaack!  On the TV version of the show we’ve got a Halloween spooky episode lined up for Thursday night: Elvira, Mistress of The Dark is our special guest.  And then, because it’s never too early for Christmas (yes it is) The Rockettes drop by the studio in little velvet Santa outfits to teach me how to do a high kick.

Can YOU Spot The Imposter?

The world renown The Rockettes visited the studio yesterday for a pre-taped segment in advance of their Christmas show in Toronto in November. I am NOT one for Christmas this early, but it was such a fun kick (pun intended) to chat up some of the dancers. I mean, who wouldn’t want to be a Rockette?

Today on the show … Moby! It’s the second time I have interviewed him and he’s one of those people who are interesting to talk to, period, regardless of what they are pushing (in this case a new album and concert tour

What else? The Shaun Proulx Show comes to OutTV on October 1st, featuring special guests Anjulie, Vanessa Williams, Jeanne Beker and Liza Minnelli.

Are you digging the end of summer? Today is official autumn, I believe. In any other year I would have been devastated by summer’s end, especially given how different Toronto’s was this year. Not so, and that’s a very nice feeling indeed.

Hey, right on time for their Canada’s Walk Of Fame honour this weekend, fashion superstars Dean and Dan Caten (DSquared) talk to us from Italy on the show today.  They make me proud to be Canadian, I love how they’ve made Canadiana sexy, and it’s wonderful that Canada continues to recognized it’s own in bigger, grander ways than ever before, like the Walk O’ Fame action, don’t you think?
